|SFH| vs m2s - The Second Challenge! - Match Report by |SFH| gama_k |DCL|
Everyone is chilling on vent when gama suggests a match. An open challenge with an old enemy, m2s on good old de_dust2. Gama accepts it, and were ready to go.
Pre-match practice begins at 8 pm, with a quick runover some basic tactics followed by a small PCW. We do pretty good and end up winning before 9 pm, and everyone is psyched up to play. Shade goes for a quick 5 min warm up against Desert, Mashy jumps around like a madman on a bunnyhop server while everyone else chills before the game.
It begins at 9 pm. Everyone is in high spirits from the earlier win. The terrorist rounds begin with some minor confusion in the ranks as everyone takes on different skins. This gets some bitching by some clan mates, so just in the second restart towards the knife round everyone quickly switches skins. The knife round starts off well, then the CTs pull out and draw in the eager younger members who fall before the mighty knifes after dealing some damage. Everyone clumps together in a massive melee, leaving 2 CTs onto gam. Gama sweeps in for the kill and shows no mercy leaving us with a good knife win.
We stay on as Ts and the round begins. A break from the usual, we rush up A long and win. This is followed by several exciting combinations of rushes, split-rushes, slow to-B's and a few choatic rounds. Everyone plays really well, Shade gets the top score for once (woo!) followed closely by Mash and gama. The end result after an brillaint display of skill from |SFH| is 13-2. 2 rounds lost by a good counter attack by the enemy and a few small mistakes.
Morale is high after we switch over to CTs. Mash and shady take short A, Insur and gama take B and Star takes A long. We try to hold em back but the team falls apart abit with a few silly mistakes and we ended up losing the first 4 rounds. In the 5th/6th ish they rush A long with 3 of them using AWPs. We fall back and ambush them wiping them all out and an eager mash grabs himself an awp and starts wiping the floor with the Ts. A few silly mistakes again lead to a few deaths, mash forgets to boost short but in the end that makes no difference, Star uses his mic and gives warnings, and we slowly pull it back. 2 rounds are lost to effective rushes, and one to a misleading warning by gama followed by Shade's swearing and not giving Mash early warning (sorry mate) as to the Ts lieing in ambush across mid behind the smoke. These Ts swiftly anniallated us all except for star, who legged it but ended up dieing anyway. Aside form that the side went fairly well, we managed to pull it back again and capture a few more rounds resulting in a good win.
The match ended with a fine win for |SFH|. |SFH| had triumphed over its opponents, with a great 20-10 win.
No complaints really, everyone played well aside from a few simple mistakes, one confusing round, and 3 rounds of being flashed by star at short A on CTs. (It hurt..!)
