OK...
Please post IP addresses here of Desert Combat servers that DON'T kick you off whilst having an invalid IP address.
I have only found one... It is a German server that only runs crap maps though.

Please keep 'em coming until i get my own legal copy of BF!

w000les, will give that a try. So whats the beef with the whole copy thing. Can people wit dodgy copies connect to a server which has been created by someone and who is playing. not dedicated? or does it all connect to a main server like CS?

u can connect 2 any server as long as they havent got it checking your serial key...

u need the basic battlefield 1942
road to rome is an expansion pack which i wasted 20 quid on. it only allows a few maps extra and gives italains ans some other jews, not sure whom but u want the standard version of bf.
when u done so mate go to
www.bygames.com
and dl the patches of the site you want the full 4.5 patch.
then get DC at www.desertcombat.com and dl all the patches for it roxs cs.
btw me thinks we have enought for sfh bf now maybe we could get a team together

BF has been updated from 1.4 to 1.45 - it stopped me playing with demon and mojo last night unfortuniatly cus its only been up a few days and everyone (servers included) are still updating.
I agree with demon. I played it at i17 and loved the multiplayer, so i went to.... *whisper* pc *nervous look* ... world *loud cough* and braught a copy for £35 - i've been enjoying the first person game and then u get a gr8 multiplayer game. demons ace with hele's but i was getting very good at halo jumps when i was playing with fatty and ins.
all those who dont have the game get it, all those that have it but not legitimatly, u cant be stingy bast's all the time go out and buy the damn thing - its good and if its good then the ppl who made it deserve payment for it imo so fork up its a gr8 game, the other advantage being u get a clean and proper cd-key of your own

hehe - yeah u knifed me once i admit it and as i said at the time well played. When i was first doing halo jumps i always did them in the same place, and pointed out i was doing them in the same place cus u were never there. but that was so i could praccy the technique. after a while i fooled u tho, i stopped throtteling the engine and u thaught i had bailed but i carried on into your base...... also i was doing jumps all over the place towards the end, ur base, atop the hill and wherever i was needed.
if a clan was set up it would be good to have a couple of pple specialising in certain things and making taccies up around that. like demon being nothing but air support etc - if u had 2 guys capable of doing good halo's then u would have a hell of an insertion team, they would land so fast and close u would have a hard time coping, with demon providing air support u'd be on to a winner

dude - rpgs suck compared to stinger misslies as mojo and i found out last night - if ur an anti-armour dude u have a 2nd rocket launcher with less missiles - theyre for takin out choppers and planes - took aout an entire bomber with one the other night...

I was taking out bombers by the rocket load last night once I found out about the stingers. Must have taken out about 3 (I died every time tho, he always droped a bomb before he died, and I cant run that fast  )
btw I just got me a legit copy of BF so we can play on any server now!!!!
Do you need a legit copy of road to roam to play it online? or does it use your BF key?

I tried using those stingers at the i17, and they never seemed to cause any damage!? How much do you have to lead with them? I could never see anything coming out of it after firing :/.

Yeah, they do no damage at all to anything else other than Choppers and planes. I'm not sure on the lead; the stingers go dead straight and faster than the RPG's. Usually I get a hit coz the pilot of the aircraft is coming straight towards me a low altitude. He think he safe in that plane of his. oh, and the Big Ass carrier (the one people can spawn in) can take a hell of a lot of damage. I think I hit it with about 3 Stingers and it still weren’t going down
