Sorry to approach you like this, I know that making my first post business related is pretty lame, but just trying to get the word out.

Serverslots.com have just launched the beta of a new Server system. Its a booking system simular to what Blueyonder used to do if anyone remembers that. The idea is you sign up and get some credits. Whenever you want a match server, you book a time and get a server just for the match, making it alot cheaper than a dedicated match server that normalally gets no use.

Okay, enough of the drivvel. I'm after some people to test out the system. Its completly free for march, at the moment its CS:S servers, but we're adding CS1.6 and DOD:S over the next week. All the servers are high performance 100 tick, ideal for matches.

Sounds interesting, im sure well be happy to help you beta the system (tho tbf, we have our own dedicated box so its unlikely that we would use it during live, though you never know what the future may bring!).

Are the games all going to be purely steam based? I think you may find a very popular option would be for ranked BF servers as theyre v expensive for monthly use...

What kind of charges are you proposing on go-live?

The beta is going to be just steam, but will expand for the live launch. Not sure about BF as requires alot of setup and commitment with EA, and i'm not sure about the hardware requirements.

As per the price, we're really not sure yet. Its gonna depend on the response we get from the beta, and what the community want to pay.

From my past experience, I would suggest trying to make payments as smooth and easy as possible for clans. A method similar to clanpay on clanservers would be a good idea. That way people can chip in their little bit each, instead of all sending to one person and them paying. Accepting paypal payments would b v useful too.

Paying is going to be easy. You can pay using card or paypal then either spend the credits yourself or send them to your clanleader/war arranger to spend on your behalf.
