was just wondering why the server was down lads, any news on when it might be back up and running?

As researched and posted by Greg in IRC...

[16- 12:35:30] <Greg> Servers will be taken offline today for upgrades/re-installs and a re-shuffle of equipment. All servers will be up by 2pm at the latest however the following machines will be re-installed to linux from windows:

[16- 12:35:30] <Greg> Superserver2 - 84.18.199.112
[16- 12:35:30] <Greg> Superserver3 - 84.18.199.113
[16- 12:35:32] <Greg> These should be up by early evening providing we encounter no difficulties. However we will be available on irc during the entire period if you have any queries about what we are doing or if you are inconvenienced in any way.

ohhh....it now 18.25 or sommit about there and they aint up...goin to a party so wont be back till late maybe see yas if servers up by then....
btw im gonna get hammered, so i will say sorry now for anything sed or done :D

Its now 19:26 and they are back up.
Likewise, i am out on the razz tonight, so i won't be able to test.
Opinions on how the newly built server run here then people?

It is now 17/07/05 10:55 and the servers are still down. What is going on here, i tried several times yesterday they were still down.
Harv - why you saying the serverys are back up, they arent (well, not for me ). Plz tell me when they will be back up again. THanks

yeah they were up for a bit last nite as they on when i got home about 2am, but your right its about 11.15 and they r down again.oh well

yeah its still not up, theres no other decent servers up so im without CS which really sucks, btw the time is 11:37am!!

Appologies to all affected by this.
I was unaware until now that the servers were down.
Admitidly this is undesirable on all counts, and i will spend as much time today in order to resolve this problem.
I pay for this server myself along with others, and to pay for a service that is unusable is not acceptable.
The clan leader and ex-deputy clan leader (both of which pay aswell) will be round at my gaff today, so i will make sure between us we will resolve this matter as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience in the mean time.

you might find they where doin those 3 last night and the next 3 today? as we .115 and they said they doin upto .113 hopefully they wil be up by around 7ish again like last nite, as they might just of took all the servers down to do work on them not goto time to do ours, so they put it back up last nite wif out changin it to windows and have now continued workin on them this morning.. just a thought as my mind is workin overtime as im bored wif out cs.... just pld on uk2 for a laff.... made me wanna cry
well im sure ultra serve doin all they can and maybe they got some difficulties (eg runnning out of biscuits and bein a sunday the shops r shut so they had to go out for lunch or somimt )

Yep, they have been fixed since last night, just needed someone with SSH access to boot them up. but one of the ultraserve guys did it for me when i asked in irc so its all good now
except he said something about VAC not working for a while due to some steam problem with recently booted servers (shouldnt be a problem)
