Have been looking at hosting again this week with the poor performance of our server over the last couple of months. Gama and I are gonna chip in and host a test box (one of my proper HP servers) at a datacentre near me. Im arranging it this week and will be putting it into action next week. If things go well we will scrap clanservers and go with our hardware and colocation for £42 a month, which is what we pay now only we could host as many servers on our box as we want.
My test server is a dual 1.26GHz so will probably only support around 3-4 servers however if everything goes well and connection speeds are good, we will look at purchasing / building our own server (of decent spec) and hosting it there. This will mean we could host multiple servers for several games, eg for instance we could have our old DoD:S box back along with any other game we wanted...
In the mean time, heres a couple of test servers running in that datacentre for you to try out pings etc. Please post your tracerts and comments on the servers connections (having tried them in game) below:

Yay - server is now installed in the datacentre and all up and running. Gam can you please have a go at the config?
The IP address of the server is 83.234.152.59
I have put the server details in the servers page here:
http://www.sentfromhell.co.uk/servers.asp
I will post an official news item later today (need some lunch!)
(oh and when mash, shade and I tested dod source, we all had pings under 10!!!)
