Not sure if this is the proper place to post this - since this is suggesting a ban rather than appealing against one.

Have a look - he smells dodgy to me.

If you know this guy and know him to be kosher then tell me to stfu and I will skulk away suitably humbled.

On a related note, may I make a suggestion?

When trickery had a working rats server (and who knows, some day soon we may have one again!), we created a gmail account that people could post zipped demos/screen shots of cheats/team wounders/general cocks to. All the admongs know the password and check it on a regualr basis. It proved to be a small success. Emailing demos is just easier than FTPing them to some web space and posting a message on a forum (not many peeps can be bothered). The trickery regulars got to know about it and started to make demos and post them.

It helped in two ways a) it made catching banning cheats easier since admins did not have to be online to catch them in the act b) the regulars like it because they know that cheats will get banned and they won't see them again on the server.

Anyways, just a suggestion.

seems like gd idea... specially of the ammout of hax goin about these days, but i agree even b4 i u posted i thought kone was wh...will watch this again... as at end of day we all get pretty lucky on cs some times

i was on the server wiv donkey at the time and we both watched him. I got some amazing evidence of which u cld see he was wall hacking. I agree wiv u punk and also coz donkey said it as well, u can get lucky but his aim was awaiting for them to come round corners which no1 would hav known!

just watched demo... up untill like 3 rounds he seems ok, just usin sound radar and expo, then he gets guy comin over plank wif nad, he falls back and continues to spary the floor. killing the t. and i didn no he there or cud hear him..(my pc wired to a boze sound system...i normally hear everything) wot i noticed till then he seemed to use alot of radar and sound, as once he new ct guy above him died so he went up killed the t again... so it cud be a case of just bein on a roll, and gd sound system.... but he did seem very dodgy come few rounds in.... also james or devs right that froggy guy dodgy to kills thro walls. so prob gd idea if he on again someone keep an eye on him

tbh he is either dodgy or very lucky/good, i cant make a proper judgement wif out out hltv as i normaly watch demos on overveiw, wif the first person inset screen to see where they look and if it towards the baddies... so im no help.. plus im pretty drunk will watch again when sober... for now i will say he is on very thin ice as he he cud be a gd player who uses hax, as most hax0rs noobs and dont hide it well...

Here is my 2 pence worth.

I see no evidence of cheating at all, i am not going to ban him, and i would disagree with anyone who does from what i saw on that .dem. At worst he had someone with voice coms telling him where the T's were - and if this were the case, that is not a bannable offence - just a warning.

I do like the idea of emailing .dems though.
I suggest you PM Demonboy about it Donkey, as its your idea. I am sure he would agree to set up a 'demos@sentfromhell.co.uk' email address to send vids to.

Fair enough you don't think he is cheating. Sometimes I watch demos made by other people who are adamant that 'teh guy is teh haxxor' but I just don't see it myself when reviewing the footage. Often you miss little things while recording that only show up in the demo.

I did watch this one again though before posting it and although there was no *blatent* wall hacking (e.g. getting HS through walls at round start) I still think he is dodgy. If I CBA I will watch it again and post the timings of the two events which really stick out.

Or perhaps he was just lucky and no crime was committed. I don't mind being wrong (first time for everything I spose

)

Re: Voice comms. As speccy I can't hear the CT chatter and so there may have been a CT team mate telling him (in game and perfectly legitimatly) where the enemies were. But I did play as CT for a short while and heard noone on mic.

Re Ghosting: I personally think that ghosting (i.e. some dead guy telling a living teammate the whereabouts of the enemy) is equivalent to wall hacking (it is cheating after all) and should be a bannable offence. But that is a matter of policy for the SFH admongs to decide upon.

just watched it again.... wtf demo u watch harv... last 2 rounds r blatent... if he was ghostin then fair enuff but i dont think he is,... he in server all the time, and all the time peeps think he hax. i think he hax im sorry... i play alot of cs and come across alot of hax0rs and alot of ghostin and alot of 1337 players.... im afraid he falls in to the first catagory..

I suggest you read these - they should cover what you need to know.

Brief summary (all commands in console - but I use binds instead)
To record a demo = record [demoName]
To stop recording = stop
To view a demo = viewdemo [demoname]
To dump the console = condump
To take a screen shot = snapshot (usually bound to F5 i think)

All demos / screenshots/condumps are created in your cstrike folder - read above links to find out more info

i think he shud be banned kone is either ghostin or wh.. if he ghosts he will come into forum and asked to be unbanned... if he dont we no we caught us a cheat
