Please can all peeps attending please bring the following items:

Your computer and peripherals:
Just the basics really... note the most important thing being a network cable (pref no longer than a couple of metres...)

  • Base unit with installed Network Card (see section below)
  • Network cable (to hook into our switches - we will have spares but not many!)
  • Monitor
  • Keyboard
  • Mouse
  • Joystick
  • Headphones 
  • Mains adaptor (4-way minimum) - enough for your PC, monitor, joystick & mobile charger
  • Game CD's
  • System CD's

Appropriate clothing:
Enough to last the duration of the weekend, bring stuff for any weather (this is Scotland after all!) and good stuff for a night out as we will definately be out on the town on Saturday night! We will also probably be doing something like lazerquest on the saturday afternoon hopefully, meaning black clothes would be an advantage heh...

Wash kit:
There are showers at both mine and ross's flats, 2-3 days without a shower by a couple of the lads last time meant sleeping conditions at my place were none too pleasant on the last night...

  • Deoderant
  • Shower gel and/or soap
  • Razor (if applicable)
  • Shaving foam (if applicable)
  • Towel
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

Bedding:
I have some sheets and blankets and syuff but the simplest thing would be if people just brought sleeping bags (esp if you have 2 share the double bed in theliving room) and pillows...

The Network
My plan is to run the network on statically assigned IPs but I will be organising that tonight (thursday)... I will assign you and IP when you arrive and show you how to set it up if nessecary...

I will also POSSIBLY be bringing my main fileserving machine to use as a gameserver (its a 1.8gig with 768MB ram so can run plenty and will also have all the main game patches etc available to DL fromit) however not quite sure for definate at this point...

Pizza Hut
The traditional journey to pizza hut on Friday afternoon is planned as its all you can eat and its a good way to break the ice and get the weekend going... This will take place around 1.30-2pm after which we will all go to the flat to setup the network...
