harv and demon will try to convince you to buy it, dont listen to them, even when your pretty drunk and sitting on harvs sofa waiting for that bacon sandwich you can smell being cooked, dont give in and watch it, you will regret it

ps harv does indeed make one hell of a good bacon sandwich

No from me too. Buy red dwarf instead. Some laughs in the office but not nearly as good as the good ole dwarf.

so womble, knowing that you have the sku, are you actually going to turn your hand to having a go at mapping, i mean, yes it can be somewhat tricky to start with, but the rewards are rather good, plus you have the time and the creative ideas, and of course me and gouldie to walk you through the basics woth you, the trick is do small areas at a time and not get caught up doing the whole lot then tring to fix it later, that never works, i always get the scaling right, then concentrate on one bit, take the measurements and create the next part on a blank canvas and then copy and paste it in to the map, that way it makes it much easier to see what is connected to what!

my basic suggestion would be to make a box, hollow it, put a man and a light in there and bam, you have your first map, de_womble ok now make a second box and hollow it, then make a third box and join the two boxes together, hollow this one out, now you should have 3 boxes all joined together but not accesible, so what you have to do is one of two things, you do it the quick and easy but messy way or the slightly more tricky but better way,

the quick way is to make a box the size of the boor you want, make it deeper than the walls that it is going to connect, once it is in place, click on the box and press carve,  then move the box to the other end of the corridor and repeat, you now have two rooms joined by a corridor......

well done sir womble.....

the nicer way to do it, is to ungroup all of the walls, remove the excess ie the duplicate walls at the end of the corridor, then stretch and move the walls about to create the opening you want, (you still can carve, as its good when done properly) then make sure that you move all the walls to create a seal around the doorway so that the outside stays outside etc, thus you create a doorway,

oh the third way of doing it is to draw a floor plan and then slowly build the walls up around the edge, then once you have all the walls in place, you cap it with a roof and voila you have a couple of rooms with a corridor,

so there you go, from there it is just a case of knowing what you can and can not make from the blocks and then getting clever with the entities that come with it,

you could map de_iceworld in like 5 mins if you wanted, why do you think there was so many copies,

now give it a go mofo
