none - use vlc media player - it playes anything without needing to install codec packs which just f**k your machine up, fill it with spyware and slow it down

not worth it considering how much sh*t you end up with on your machine. All you need is the latest xvid codec only and you can play almost everything. For anything else, use vlc. Thats my suggestion.

i know - but if you install the xvid codec only you can play almost anything with windows media player, then anything you cant play, you can use vlc.

i use k-lite mega codec http://www.k-litemegacodecpack.com/ pack. Don't care much about spyware unless it visibly slows me down...then I NUKE it.

I use the CCCP codec pack, it's put together by a load of anime fans (for anime fans) so it has all the main codecs (using FFDshow which has no crap and works perfectly) and it handels multi subtitles and audio layers.
and once you have that you also get media player classic which is the best media player around :)

http://www.cccp-project.net/

it's the only thing I install these days for video.
