Well, I have just requested some time off work to go to i19. I don't know if I got it yet, but I should find out in the next few days.
The plan of action is to finish work on the Thursday night (11th of March) and go to Edinburgh to pick up the Gouldfish, then shimmy on down to i19. We all know from the last run down that traveling durning the day takes about 4 hours longer than going at night, so I think I'll get to edinburgh about 7pm or 8pm, pick up the Gouldy, shoot down and get to the event at about 2am or so (it did take 6 hours the last time at night ehh D?).
Then I had a good idea....Puss said he wanted to come along, but with everything Puss says, I just ignored it. However, if he was serious I have to say that there wont be enough room in my car for 3 people and 3 computers (it was a squeese the last time) sooooooooooooo, why dont we rent a big fat car to take us down? I looked at easycar.com and figured out, that, with the extra milage we will have to pay for on the car, it will cost us £200 and it didn't even look like a big fat car either. If anyone knows a better place to rent a car (I would love a landrover or something) please tell me.
My next great idea is: it could be possible to rent a van (you can sit 3 in the front, and all our stuff can fit in the back). I only want to do this so we can share the drive (I was knackard the last time, and I would have to work the next day).
As a last resort if puss wants to come along, i might be able to steal my dads estate, that should have enough room for us all, but insurance for that one will be a problem.
anyway, tell me what you think peeps

ewrm i'd just like to point out, for early arrivals u can only 'sign in' between 6 - 10, then u cant turn up till 9am next morn  sure i guess you can sneak into the place and camp, and i guess there maybe a way to get your comps in but there may not be ways as well. just to point that lil detail out.

Oh...
Thats wierd. I seem to remember that we started playing at 6pm on Thursday with hundreds of other people at i17.
To quote from the Multiplay site...
"it is most likely all will be ready and you will be able to help us "test" the network and servers in advance of the actual start time of the event".
Strange. I can't seem to find anywhere that we 'cant turn up till 9am next morn'...

i think its cos you have to go to the desk and get your seat allocation and pass etc. Im sure we could get away with it tho...

in the 'services' tab that explains all the services avalible to the lan on the multiplay website it says "we offer a limited number of early arrival spaces. These enable you to arrive at the event between 6pm and 10pm on the Thursday night before it begins, and stay in the venue overnight." thats where i got the whole sign in times thing from. You may well be able able to ge in after this time (just say you broke down on the way or something) and we know the front desk is manned 24/7 so i expect you can get in. I just thaught it might be an idea to flag the possibility of not being able to get in 2 just to be prepaired for that eventuality.
