I'm currently about to transfer the film I recorded while I was in Scotland to my laptop, it probaly wont be the best quality since it said in the manual that you should transfer through firewire instead of USB 2.0 , but I think it will be ok enough..
So anyway, im gonna edit the movie etc, and I dont know how long it takes, the source is probaly over 20 GB (for a 60 minute movie).
In the mean time, can somebody please for norways sake, upload some picture from the LAN, Im sure everyone has something..

The qaulity will be the same if it's USB2 or firewire, just the transfer speed will slower.

Hmm.. well I just looked at the source video (.avi) and the quality was not that bad, but It was kind unclear, like kinda bright..
Anyway, I will finish it anyway, you can steal see your faces ;)

btw griz - how much footage is there (in size)
Can you just rip the whole lot to xvid and then make it available to all of us, eg by bittorrent? That way we all have all the footage...

Yeah, ftp is the best, in total its about 19 GB or something (for 60 min) , but I wont put it all in ofcourse, and Im just doing a test now, too see how much a divx would have been for 60 min.. and it says it would take about 800 MB, so not too bad.. I recon the movie would be about 10-15 min or so..
But I have to watch the quality when its finished divxing tho..
Hmm.. all the photo? Dont think its that interesting tbh .. lots of stuff me filming the flat, filming edinburgh etc :P

I know I uploaded a bmp, a .jpg has dosent show the colors that good, and when I wanted to show the quality its best to use a bmp..

Grizz, run the raw stuff through a xvid or div X (even H.264 or MP4) encoder. It should get it down to a reasonable size to upload to scots server. You can do your video editing crap later...I wanna see it all :)
