yeap, the editor is more or less the same one or normal HL (CS) map editing and it can load the old editor formats.

but I have to go though the whole map replacing the textures with the currently very limited number of textures that come with CS:S.

Who ever made the rats maps could if they still have the orignal files,  or some one could do a full "re-make" and start them from scratch.

just like to point out the the level is alot brighter now then it is in that those screen shots.

dude to make textures in CSS requires more work, every texture has to have a text file to make the texture work.  I have not work out the format yet.

as far as I can tell it's still easy to make your own textures, it's just there is this extra text files has has some code in it for the engine to use.

eg. the texture for a ladder has the func_ladder built into it via the text file so you don't need to make a func_ladder just have a brush with the new ladder texture on it.

plus there are LOTS of tut's on the steampowered forums (which I have been helping with).

I got CSZ free when I bought HL2 with steam,  and thus got CS:S and the tools.
