I can only advise you on what mouse i currently have since I only recently bought this mouse (upgradeing from another mouse I already had for years).
I have the wireless version of this mouse
Microsoft say it is ergonomic. What they fail to add is that it is ergonomic for a midget. True, it is comfortable for general use, but if you want to use the buttons on the side, you have to really stretch to reach them.
My advice is not to get this mouse unless you have a thumb the length of Jack Napiers' cock.
Also take in mind that some wireless devices only have a pants range of 1 to 2 meters, (like my piece of sh*t).

Not a big fan of intelli v4, no click to the mouse wheel. and the wierd rocking left and right of the wheel as well.
