So, wanted to play modern warfare 2, with wommy.
Downloaded it, loaded up multiplayer, all worked fine.
Thought me and wom could have a game of the coop spec ops missions, so tried to load up the single player... and nope.
Said "game is currently unavailable" kept trying it... nothing. looked online for a solution, couldnt really find anything better than restart steam.
So decided to look at the files, see if anything was wrong... and wow... there wasnt even an exe for the single player.
So, verified game cache, and it downloaded the missing exe... tried the game, and still unavailable.
Looked back at the files... it had deleted the single player exe again. Verified, and ran a few times, always the same outcome... steam deletes the exe.
So, looked at the steam help site, for generalised help on "game currently unavailable", found lots of info.
It told me to delete the clientregistry.blob, and let steam update again.
So, i did that, then woop! big error, steam wont work, and my only solution was to reinstall steam. Did that, copied my steamapps folder over again, tried mw2sp again, same thing... deletes the exe.
So, tried moving steam to another drive, did that, and loaded up steam.
Came up with the login screen, put in password, asks for the verification code that it emails you, put that in...
and woop again! this time cant connect to steam network.
So, as a conclusion... i wont be back online, until they have either fixed steam (which seems as likely as womble having a sex change) or stopped using it.
See ya :]
