My gaming PC is as follows:

Athlon 2.1Ghz
768MB Corsair XMS DDR400
Epox 8RDA+ (nForce2) motherboard
40GB 7200RPM HDD
64MB Geforce 4 MX440
SB Live 5.1 Sound (Using Sennheiser Headphones)
MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0
Win XP Pro

I get 99fps all the time - drops to about 90 if theres 10+ smoke grenades on the screen at once

My other machines are as follows:

Athlon 1.1, 384MB PC133, 20GB HDD, RedHat Linux 7.3
AMD K6-2 550, 384MB PC100, 60+80GB 7200 RPM HDDs, Win XP Pro
AMD K6-2 500, 128MB PC100, 20GB HDD, Win XP Pro
Athlon 1.5GHz Laptop, 256MB DDR2100, 20GB HDD, WinXP Home (lol)

I run them all through my 1MB line routed through the linux box and share using a 5 Port 100MB Netgear Switch.

"net_graph x" at console where x is 1 2 or 3 depending on what way u want it displayed

a more suitable command for viewing fps is "cl_showfps 1"

yeah cept thats all it does, show ur fps in the corner whereas if u use "net_graph 3" you can check your choke and pings at the same time (and not have to put up with the stupid graphs of 1 and 2)

set it to zero eg "net_graph 0"

but i leave it on all the time...

using "cl_showfps" is more suitable because it uses less cpu gfx processing power hence has a lesser effect on reducing fps, giving a more accurate fps reading on under powered systems. 1 on 0 off
