I have a new PC case with to built in fans but not enough ports on my motherboard for them to fit. How can i get my second fan to work? Its really busting my balls this one any help is much appreciated.

dont you plug them into the psu rather than the motherboard or is it the same fan connector as for cpu fan? if so you usually have two cpu fan sockets on the board.

or am i well off the mark ... yep thought so .

they have the same connectors as the cpu fan, but there has to be an adaptor or something???????? i dont know.....

he has 2 ports on the mobo for the connectors and he has 3 of them (cpu fan and 2 extra case fans)

I got some PSU to fan converters I think.I have 3 - 4 fans running. Don't know if its any help. If I was at home I would take a look at my config for ya.

Just go to a PC shop or Maplins or something and ask for a "4pin to 3 pin fan type molex cable". You can even get ones that'll split into 4 fan connectors. should be around £3.

just been on over clockers and bought a 3 pin power splitter... hopefully that will work
