why dont you search for a prog called G-Spot on google. It tells you all the codec information. Nice.

hmm.. strange, I have many codecs installed, but noone could take that, even Videolan player dident take it.. allthough.. I heard some wierd noises...

Wow, even I could not play it, and Mediaplayer Classic did not even know what the codec was.

Yup.
I know what it is, but i thought it would add a little mystery, suspense and a little motivation to help me find the codec for it. 
Hope any of you guys can help. It would mean alot to me and the person in the video!

Yeah, I can hear it. There's a huge clap of thunder and a repeating beeping noise. It sounds like an Alien film. Can't get the video though. I give up.

ok, I kinda got the right codec, I can play the file off now, without getting any errors.. but I still see a black screen.. =/
p.s : you used a canopus DV camera or something dident you?

Unfortunately, i don't have any details regarding the manufacturer or the model of the camera that took the video. :/

hmm.. I think the video was called blast25.april or something, im I right.. (tried to convert the file format.. but dident work, but somehow came up with that name)
sounds like your in a car or somewhat, by the beeping sound and the other one which sounds like a window wiper

Its a video.
It was recorded using a video camera, and it would hardly say 'error downloading codec' if it didn't have a picture now would it?
