I have setup a new IRC bot so that we can monitor the game servers from within IRC. There are two cool functions you can use for now on them.

1. Query server info. This can be done per server by using the following commands:

!q rats
!q classics
!q gungame
!q css
!q dods
!q unreal

It will return the current server in the following form:

[14:19:11] <sfhbot> |SFH| Rats Server | www.sentfromhell.co.uk :: IP: 85.234.152.59:27015 :: Counter-Strike :: cs_mice_final :: Players: 0/18

2. Secondly, and more importantly, the bot now monitors every server, and every time any users says the words "admin" or "cheat", their text is displayed in our IRC channel! This means that users can request admin assistance from within their games. For example:

[14:51:25] <sfhbot> [CS 1.6 Rats] |SFH| Demonboy |CL|: admin - typing in game chat!
[14:51:34] <sfhbot> [CS 1.6 Gun Game] 4rschg3s!cht: bidiboy cheater

This will be updated onto the startup web page of each server. It is also therefore more important than ever that people start using IRC more as they can assist in administration of the servers when people call for help...

I'll be up for some. My pc is rocking now. It's amazing how much difference 2 gigs of good ram, dual core and good cooling can do to your system.

I installed and patched BF2142 and BF2 so I'll be up for some of that too this week. I've missed my online gaming.

well I said when you started using PPF bot that give me a month and I would have colabot doing all that stuff.

And after 10 days I've rewritten the whole bot to have a plugin interface recoded all the old functions into plugin's and written a plugin to query game servers.

This means I can spend the next 20 days testing and still beat the target I gave my self.

I rule!
