i got a shiny new gfx card yesterday(yet to install) but its a gforce fx 5200 128mb for wait for it...(drumroll) 50-60 quid

DAM 2 BUYTTON NEVER WORKS *lookign like a nub*

5200 is sadly under powered. ti 4200's apparently beat it - should have gone for 5600 - the kick of at about 100 quid i think.

well done for not getting an ATi tho :) and either way i'm still jealous cus i only got a gf2 in my comp at home. altho my laptop has onboard gf4

/me hates ati

I'm a unix user - Ati provide no support for anything but windows.

nvidia however not only support, they have driver downloads for not only Linux but also FreeBSD (which is the system i mainly use) avalible in the support and driver section on their site.

so imo nvidia are better than ati, maybe not their cards (but then the difference between them at the speeds they go are negligable) but certainly thier attitude efforts and support and services are.

ati havce v good support for macs tho... nvidia have some but not much. It all depends on who you use doesnt it...
