Anyone had much trouble with choke and/or loss in CS. Seems that every weekday between 7 and 9pm my kit gets the arsehole and i get lots of choke. Means that for every bullet shot at me I have to fire 2 back in order to get a hit. Which is f**king annoying.. I also tend to get 'glued' to the spot, not able to move, by all guns not just the 9millies (glock,mp5).

Tried UK2, BT, and Freenetname ISDN dialups but nowt seems to fix it - ive got a horrible feeling that all isdn suppliers still go via BT.. so its bound to be a BT peaktime problem. Which means ill just have to suffer.

Would a fresh install of HL&CS improve things? default wep/player models etc?

Rates are 9999, 35/40 for cmd and updaterates (isdn standards)

um if ur on isdn then u cant handle 9999 rate if ur 64k/ You want rate of 6000 or so as rate is approx kbps hence a 64kbit line gives you rougly 6000 rate. 40 is ok for rates but i would say your prob is eithr you main rate or maybe your naeighbours r hoggin your bandwidth...

well HL keeps changing my rate and cl_rate value on server connection to 9999 (the HL default for all connections) - even though my config is readonly.

Just looked at Luck1ng's cfg (the 4k^ isdn user), and he seems to use 7999. Max d/l on my isdn is 7.5kb/s to a good server.. but it tends to bounce around 6kb/s - so maybe your suggestion is the best one Demon. Guess I'll just have to have a play around with my rates tonite.

Might do a HL/CS reinstall too for good measure.
