Im thinking of setting up a wireless network for 3 Pc's in my home!

PC 1 - My gaming PC currently connects directly with my adsl BT modem

PC 2 - Next to my Gaming PC would like to use this for keeping all my vids and porn on.

PC 3 - family PC downstairs in dinning room (online for mummy and daddy)

tbh i dont know jack about networks but i would like it to be wireless and simple to set up and it would be nice if it didnt affect my PING on cs.

ANY HELP WILL BE REWARDED !!!!!!!!!!

what I would say is this:

2 of your PC's are next to each other and next to the modem right? if so plug the modem into the router (or or likely plug your phone into the router) and plug the two PC's via network cables to the router and only buy a wireless card for the far away machine.

I say this because wireless can be a bit flaky so you might get dropped from games and stuff if you use it on your gaming machine.

Just plug in main pc to router, other one too if its close and one wireless usb adapter for the one farthest away.

Belkin router I have is ace. Easy to use and any probs, switch it off and back on again. USB adapter is any. Ebuyer had a 54 MPs one for 25 or something last time I checked but they will have came down in price by now.

Or if you leave one of the pc's on all the time just use a non wirless router for the two upstairs and then use two wirless cards to bridge it to the other computer

Gouldy got it right the first time. Listen to him junk - hes made the best suggestion. All you need is..

1 x wireless modem router (with ethernet)
1 x wireless card (pci, usb or whatever)
2 x newtork cables

Is very simple to configure.
