This is a question that were discussing at work today. I've got to keep it up for the PC games side (being the only real PC gamer in work) so gimme your suggestions guys!
The Lucasarts Star Wars games have been discluded already as being a given.

well they did a mario bros film a long time ago, which was amusing, but totally rubbish,
loads of disney ones,
alladin was quite good on the nintendo i think it was or megadrive
do cartoons count as Earthworm Jim was great.
final fantasy was very well done on film, the graphics were brilliant, the game i never got into
aliens was a great film but rubbish game or was it alien 3,
terminator was a rubbish game on the sectrum as was robocop
mortal kombat and streetfighter were both pants on film
um running low on them now,

None spring immediately to mind except the LotR films on PSII, which I liked. I seem to remember Back to the Future II being quite good on the Amiga, if a little frustrating, as was Jurassic Park. Alien v. Predator the game is great, but not the film. The Matrix on PSII is okay as well, but not exactly outstanding. How about Black Hawk Down? I've barely played the game, but I've been led to believe it's good.
Or... what about Alien 1 on the Spectrum? You had to work out which other crew member was the android (changed every time) and work together to kill the alien. Somewhat crude, but clever enough.
And I'm surprised that Demon hasn't jumped in with THE GOONIES! A bloody difficult little puzzle/platformer. I can't even remember what platform it was for.

Oh yeah, Bladerunner... that was EXCELLENT. It had something like eleven different endings. That's probably the best film / game conversion in fact.
Oh, and I've also been led to believe that The Chronicles of Riddick is an excellent game, although I haven't played it, nor have I seen the film.

i have played blade runner, and agree it was an excellent game, though i never got to complete it as it was not mine and i never finished it in time, had to give it back to my cousin the bastard!
you could change the question to which games would make a good film,
halflife/ halflife 2 and deus x i think would do well, also grand theft auto

yeah the riddick game is good had it here for a bit must get it again.
indiana jones games, if you wanna get into some of the murder mystery games then murder on the orient express things like that.
the Law n order games are good but they are a tv series.
alone in the dark a movie based on the game which wasnt realllyyy that good a movie.
resident evil
king solomons mine???
Zulu (yes it was a game aswell)
Wing Commander <--- i love the games and the movie \o/
and on that note if anyone can find a working copy of wing commander armada i will love you forever and ever.

Resident Evil were games before they were films, and when they were films they were a load of Paul Anderson crap.
And I can't believe I forgot Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis – I just started playing it again recently and it's great... stuck again though.
Games that would make good films? GTA could certainly, but not if it was like Gone in 60 Seconds... I always thought The Rock could be a good game, and the Metal Gear Solid games are rumoured to be made into films at some point. Hidden & Dangerous could make a good game. Um... I'm out. What about Pacman the Movie?

i know the game was before the movie read the first question games to movies or movies to games :P
GTA in my opinion couldnt be a good movie too much in it i guess. or
something like driver is in my opinon baises for fast and the furious.
the whole undercover cop going too deep.
dunno yeah ive heard about MGS going movie and there were rumours of splinter cell and maybe nother movie based on the game SWAT instead of a sequal to SWAT with samuel l.
what about dungeons and dragons? does taht count i know it spawned form a card/board game but it's been on pc and it was made into a movie.
i dunno there are loads of others that werent big.

Another game that would make a good movie would be X-com, or duke nukem :)
